Apprenticeships Queensland have a position vacant for a new start Cabinet Making apprenticeship working with our busy host who is based in Salisbury. This is a junior position.

Job Description

Standard duties may include:

• Learning how to operate machines such as moulders, planers and saws.
• To cut, plane, shape and sand wood.
• Program and control CAD and CNC machines.
• Accurately assemble and package orders
• Participate in inspection for quality
• Housekeeping
• Complying with WHS requirements
• Other duties as required

Standard requirements

• Physically fit
• High attention to detail
• Workplace level written and oral communication
• A reasonable ability to complete standard documents and calculations

Entry Requirements

Certificate 1 or 2 in furnishings, work experience and hand tool skills would be an advantage with a desire to commence a successful career and obtain your qualification in this vocation.  The successful person will also be reliable, enthusiastic and willing to work as part of a team. 

Car & Licence Essential for this position.
